I tried to access the quiet and cool icon in the DCP group but it's asking for my password...wouldn't that be the same password as I used to log into Dream Linux...? If so, it doesn't work and is still asking for the Administrators password.
I thought I was the Admin....  any ideas?

Try using the root password that you setup during the install.

There are two passwords to set up; the root password to "safeguard the system", and the users password to "log on" with....try using the root password; it's got to be that because it's asking you for the administrator's password.

The only password I remember using is the log on password. I thought I was the administrator. So now how do I become one...?

As chadfluegge and djsroknrol said, when you install Dreamlinux you are asked to set a root (Admin) password and your user password.  If you did not enter a root password during the install then maybe it's blank. Have you tried just hitting the enter key when asked for the password? If nothing else, try this command in a terminal:

sudo passwd root

Then enter a password for root (you will have to enter it again for confirmation) and see if that solves your problem. Anything in DCP that asks for a password is usually asking for the root password...just FYI.

Let us know if that solves it.
