After reformatting hard drive I installed Dreamlinux 3.5 .After install I rebooted to the new OS    BUT  on the log in screen after typing in user name and user password i get message that password /usernme incorrect..I know my pass word and username so how do I get to the desktop cant even log in as Root..please help this never happened onversion 3.0

This never happens on 3.5 either unless you mistype the username or password.

As you've never been able to use this desktop anyway, I would suggest a reinstall. It only takes 10 minutes.

Reading over your previous posts, this happened to you back in March 2009 as well, but you never posted to say if you had solved the problem or not.

The same problem on previous install as well..used the same user name and same password on the log on screen and exactly same response incorrect user name password or etc that is on the first release of 3.5 so I installed another operating OS UL2.4 no problem using pass word or user name,then went back to the previous dreamlinux 3 installed ok and could log on as well...You are probably wondering why I am doing the multple installs ,I like the dreamlinux idea and the easier use of the system to the othes linux OS's,I am not a geek but like trying out new things Linux wise..I do read forums and help pages but some how get lost in the convelutions of the syntacs etc so looking for the promis of what dreamlinux is offering ..ease of use and easier operation than 'gasp' Windows OS..I think the Dream version 4 might come closer the Alpha OS installed OK and could log on no problem but as it is a test OS not to many programs work yet..maybe I wil wait for it to come out in 64 bit when released for amd64 processor..I hope that I am not expecting too much..regards
