I have 2 net cards - a wireless and a wired. Every time I log on I have to go to DCP control panel and choose Setup Network and click my internet card to start. I have no problems with either network card. I just want it to start automatically and save my settings.

There is a program that starts up automatically, called WICD. It resides in your "system tray."

If you open that, click on the preferences button and make sure that the box, "Always Show Wired Interface," is checked. Close the preferences box and hit the refresh button.

There should now be a wired network connection available.

Click on the network connection and make sure that the box, "Use as default profile," is checked.
