I recently bought an MSI wind (U100-641) and I am having trouble getting the wifi to work. I read another post that used ndiswrapper, which I can do that; but, when I open WICD it freezes and I have to kill it. That makes it hard to configure. I have already downloaded the XP drivers for ndiswrapper if I need them, but I cant get that far in the process. Any help would be appreciated.

P.S. If anyone can tell me how to change the display settings so everything fits, I would appreciate that too.

Thanks. I actually realized I could just modify my xorg file shortly after posting. But thanks anyway.

I am not an expert in the area of wireless and ndiswrapper, but does the thread [SOLVED] installing NDISWRAPPER contain sufficient information to help you resolve this issue?

Thanks for the reply. I tried what the post said, didn't help. I did manage to reinstall a newer version of wicd and that stopped the freezing. I also now have installed the correct driver via the control panel applet. But my network is still not showing up. Wicd does still behave slowly, but that was only after I installed the correct driver.I think I am close, just need a little more help. Wireless is turned on, it is just not finding the network.
