Any way to make DL fit on a 2GB SSD?

First of all, Hye ZAP and welcome on DreamlinuxForum.

Regarding your question, if you have a look at the system requirement on the dreamlinux wiki you can see that the minimum disk space should be equal to 5GB. So no there is no way to make DL fitted on a 2GB SSD. The only way should be using a flash usb drive. But this install will be be a live USB something like a liveCD. No persistance.

P.S2: You're in the eepc and netbbok section. You should have at least 4GB of hardrive?

Thanks for your reply. I'm not surprised that DL requires more space than this given all of the software that's included. I'll probably end up using Pupeee, since even after removing packages and deleting files Eeebuntu-Base is still just under 1.7 GB (which leave me no room for software and updates).

I often install DL on different machines, so a hardware sig would probably just confuse people. My question was related to an Eee PC Surf with only a 2 GB SSD that someone asked me to repair (yes they really did make one that small). I also have a 4 GB 701, and I can run a full installation of Ubuntu and all sorts of other things on that.

I would try to do a "livecd"-installation with persistent feature on the 2GB-SSD of the eeepc - this requires only about 700 Mb for the live system and the rest for persistence......
